The thing was, the X Games were on the West Coast, in San Diego, and I was on the East Coast. Somehow, one day, a big box showed up at the Skatepark with my name on it. I was so confused and stoked at the same time. When I opened it up it was a complete new bike, a plane ticket to San Diego and an envelope with $600 in it. At that moment I was the happiest man on earth. A few months later I started to ride for etnies and since that day they’ve been so good to me that I don't know how to thank them for everything they do. Whatever I do for them it never feels like it’s enough.

This thing will haul ass and should become a popular choice for the privateer racer (makes me want to get back into it!) This thing will set you back $6,379.99. You are getting a sub-40lb. racebike though!

RIM has finally stepped it up and come into the touch screen phone game. This is their latest installment; the new Storm. The Blackberry Storm page went up on Verizon's site recently so check it out. Right now they're signing people up for e-mail updates only :( This should help Verizon attract the customers who want something similar to an IPhone but don't want AT&T service. Following up on the latest Barack hype is this latest photo set of Obama and photographer Terry Richardson. It was the product of a photoshoot for the September 2007 edition of Vibe Magazine.
Terry Richardson is a world renowned photographer. Known for his extremely bold lifestyle photography, he has become a celebrity in his own right. The new Audi Q7 V12 TDI is going to be insane. Too bad it will never make it to the states :( It is going to have a 6.0L V12 Turbo Diesel engine which will be a modified version of the motor found in the Audi R10 TDI LeMans racecar. The engine will produce 500hp and 758 ft-lb. of torque. This will allow this beast of a SUV to hit 62 in 5.5 seconds. It will come standard with carbon ceramic brakes, carbon and aluminum interior trim, and your choice of 20" or 21" rims (yeeee boiiiii). The Q7 V12 will also have LED daytime running lights which seems to be Audi's new signature touch. Read up on this car here

How many serious hobbies do you have? Right now off the top of my head I can think of 7 hobbies which I seriously follow. I personally think that's too many. The other day some friends and I were talking about how much it sucks to have a lot of hobbies. Sure it is cool to enjoy a lot of different activities but at what point does it become too much?
The whole point of a hobby based on the above definition is that it should be done for pleasure or relaxation. And yes, all of my hobbies when looked at individually provide me with pleasure and relaxation. However, when I look at all of my hobbies as a whole, it causes stress and anxiety.
For example, the other day, I was surfing YouTube and came across this video of some guys who were ballers at longboarding (see video @ bottom of post). This video made me realize that I was bored of my longboard and wanted a new one. However when presented with the prospect of spending $xxx.xx on a new longboard, I started stressing about how I could use this money to buy parts for my fixie (or get a new one), or buy a new lens for my camera, or buy some mods for my car, or .... And as I realized this, I got an email saying the USC Cycling club is doing a mountain bike ride on Sunday (today)! So time to get the mountain back up and running again.
And as I started researching a new longboard and thinking what I'd need to get for my mountain bike, I stumbled across a sick deal on a new fixie. Maybe I should get that instead?
Basically what I'm getting at is that having too many hobbies is a big problem especially when you don't have the financial means to pursue all of them. Also it depends on what kind of person you are. Personally I like to be good at the things I do because being shitty at something is no fun. If you have a lot of hobbies, you have no time to devote to them because you are always juggling between them.
So is this post going to make me drop any of my hobbies? No. In fact I bet this week I'll end up selling that deadstock pair of Nike Air Max 95's in my closet so that I can buy something for my fixie. But hell at least I'm aware of my hobby disorder.
Note to the newcomers to the hobby game: When you start picking hobbies, try to limit it to 3.

So I don't know how often I will update this blog. I wanted to start it and see how it goes from here. Have been reading a few of my friends' blogs and it turned me on to starting my own.
