It may be too soon to say it, but this car may replace the F430's spot as my "first car to buy when I'm baller." It has numerous styling cues from the Enzo which I'm not sure if I love or not yet but the car is drop dead gorgeous nonetheless. Its performance numbers are mind blowing. Looking at the stats, it is very likely that this car will be the best in its class (GT2, LP560-4, ...) I will confidently say that when the Ferrari 458 Italia comes out, it will be one of the most amazing cars of my time.
Now for the stats. An aluminum 4.5 liter V8 produces 562 hp and 398 ft-lb of torque with a redline of 9,000 rpm. This thing is going to be a "tunnel-bomber" for sure! The aluminum engine helps keep the cars overall weight to only 3,042 pounds, yielding a weight to power ratio of 5.4lb:1hp (Bugatti is 4.48lb:1hp and Skyline GTR is 7.92lb:1hp for reference sake). Fitted with a new seven-speed dual clutch transmission, the car will accelerate from 0-62 in a blistering 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph! "It will be the first volume production Ferrari V8 to break the 200mph barrier!"
All these stats force me to ask: "Can I touch?"
